Riparian Web Portal - University Contest

The Riparian Web Portal Contest, which began in 2023, connects students with community partners to upload and showcase real-world conservation and restoration projects on the portals interactive map.
In 2026, Lakeland College and U of A: Augustana will be participating, working directly with environmental professionals to translate on-the-ground projects into accessible, shareable portal content.
Through hands-on collaboration, technical training, and exposure to real projects, students gain practical experience, industry connections, and a deeper understanding of riparian management and environmental careers.
